Local Attractions include several reservoirs, the nearest being Lake Vyrnwy, Pistyll Rhaedr Falls (one of the seven wonders of Wales) and Offas Dyke which is within 4 miles of the park.
The nearby market town of Welshpool has many attractions including the Welshpool & Llanfair Narrow Gauge Railway and Powis Castle.
The historic City of Chester is only an hours drive away as is the Welsh Coast. There are many friendly inns where one can chat to the local people and enjoy good food.
