Lake Vyrnwy - a manmade lake with stunning scenery and wonderful bird watching with an RSPB reserve. You can cycle round the lake on hired bikes and enjoy a picnic.

Llanfair Light Railway - an exiting day out to enjoy the transport of bygone days

The Flash Leisure Centre in Welshpool - a fabulous day out with swimming pool, slides, wave machine and childrens soft play area

Offas Dyke - for the energetic ones this is only a couple of miles away from the park.

Llangollen - home of the International Eisteddfod and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
